About the event
Did you know that Magnolia Avenue was once a vital stagecoach route to reach the village of Magnolia Point, then called Kettle Cove? Designated in 1795, its path wound from the current Route 128, twisting and turning past the Little River and Four Corners, all the way to downtown Magnolia. Older residents still recall the homesteads, inns, and thriving businesses that populated the Avenue and created our unique village personality.
Join us on Sunday, April 13th for "A Virtual Walk Down Magnolia Avenue," presented by our Historian, Judy Gilliss, as we delve into the avenue's evolution and explore the history of several notable properties along its length, with a focus on the section of the Avenue between our historic Blynmann Schoolhouse to downtown Magnolia.
