The Hesperus & Oceanside Hotels: Grand Hotels with Humble Beginnings

Join us for a fascinating presentation by author and collections expert Beth Welin. Beth, currently the Director of Collections at The Hammond Castle Museum (and formerly with the Manchester, Essex, and Salem historical organizations). Beth will share the incredible story of the origins of the Hesperus and Oceanside Hotels

Beth will trace their evolution from simple guest houses to a massive merged entity. Learn how two separate venues ultimately combined to become the largest and longest running of the Magnolia hotels, once famed as the "largest hotel east of the Mississippi."
